ABOUT
Let’s get to know each otherUsing simple solutions to reclaim your space and sanity
I didn’t start this business because I’m a naturally organized girl. In fact, quite the opposite. I started it because I’ve learned firsthand how much better life feels when your home isn’t constantly working against you.
For me, professional organization isn’t about making your space Pinterest-perfect for five minutes and then watching it fall apart a month later. We create realistic systems that fit your life, your habits, and your family so your home can feel less frantic and a whole lot more manageable.
I’m Chelsea
I'm a mom, wife, and if you catch me at just the right time, I'm the life of the partyI’m a professional organizer who can confidently tackle your overflowing garage but still cannot, for the life of me, fold a fitted sheet correctly. I’m fueled by iced coffee (yes, even when it’s freezing outside), a good podcast, and a morning walk—and if I’m really in the zone, probably a messy bun, too. I will proudly repeat an outfit, always choose a morning workout over a late-night anything, and die on the hill that wire hangers belong at the dry cleaners and nowhere else.
I’m also a wife, mom, chauffeur, hype woman, and occasional grocery shopper who has apparently not learned that going to the store without a list is never a good idea. Stephen is my husband, biggest supporter, and he clocks in from time to time when a project requires some serious heavy lifting. We’ve got multiple sports on the family calendar at any given time, and while the constant chauffeuring can be a lot, I wouldn’t trade this season for anything. We’ve learned that an old-school fridge calendar and a daily family check-in work better for us than any fancy digital system.
When we’re not running from one activity to the next, our ideal family night looks like soccer in the yard, swimming, grilling, or a family movie night where I will absolutely have a very strong opinion about what we watch and then fall asleep ten minutes in. Our family toxic trait is supporting our favorite local Mexican restaurant even when there is perfectly good food sitting at home.
I get an unreasonable amount of satisfaction from canceling a subscription before it renews, I’m a loud-and-proud “woo!” girl at group fitness classes, and I have never watched someone cross a finish line without getting a little emotional. Basically, I take organization seriously but I don’t take myself too seriously.
our homes should be a place of refuge, not another source of chaos.
I believe thatWHERE IT STARTED
My Story
After graduating from Lenoir-Rhyne, I worked as a foster care social worker. When my oldest was born, I became a stay-at-home mom and spent four years at home with my family. Eventually, I returned to a full-time job that I genuinely loved but every day, I could feel the demands of the job taking a toll on our family life.
THE TURNING POINT
That season made me realize I needed to find a way to make a living while still having the flexibility to be present for my family. I’ve always had a knack for creating spaces that feel lighter, calmer, and more streamlined through decluttering, so I decided to turn that strength into a business. I launched my organizing business in March 2022.
Stephen and I have Everly, Perry, and Alice, our Standard Poodle. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me meeting a friend for coffee, exploring Hickory, working out, playing outside with my family, decorating, or thrifting.
I LOVE WHAT I DO
And how it led to launching Simply OrganizedI feel incredibly fortunate to meet so many cool people and help them bring more order and peace to their homes. Creating systems that make family life feel a little more manageable is incredibly rewarding; building a business around something I love has given me the flexibility I was looking for all along.
WHEN I’M NOT ORGANIZING
having a disorganized home doesn’t make you a bad person or a lazy person. Be gentle with yourself.
